Improve your language skills

My experience about English classes at the university were amazing, because the environment was comfortable to speak in English, and ask about things that I didn’t understand, and our teacher it’s so nice with me and my classmates.This type of activity, to write about things or situations about my life, my opinion of some topic, it helps me to improve a lot of my English. Personally I don’t have problems to speak in English, my difficult it is to read some articles in English, I need to improve that skill, to understand what I am reading and I think that the only way to get that skill is reading a lot of things, maybe books in English, Scientifics articles, maybe read a conversation or a dialogue. The Scientifics articles about dentistry and medicine are in English, so that’s the only action of English that I am using these days, but as I said, I need to practice that skill, maybe when a foreign in the street ask about an address, I speak to him in English. Changes to my study programme

  Our University needs a lot of things to change, for example, some subjects, they are unnecessary to our academic training, it’s a waste of our time, in some cases, we need to set aside that subject and focus in another more important, in the end, we don’t study or pay attention to that subject and we waste our time to do other things, for example, have free time, Dentistry school it’s very exhausting and hard, we woke up at 6 am, we travel about 1 hour, we have class for like 4-5 hours per day and we study more hours, we need to remove some subjects. The infrastructure is disappointing, we are around 100 students per generation and our teachers said: “you are so many, we don’t have classrooms for all of you guys” What is that? Is the university not prepared for that situation? We need more classrooms or maybe more chairs, fun fact, we are already crowded. Time travel

  I always have this type of discussion with my friends, would you like to travel to the future or the past? Well, my answer obviously is the future. Why? Because I want to know if I made my dreams come true or if my person from the future it’s happy, If I want to know that I will travel 10 years ahead, that would be in 2032, it’s a lot of years, I hope there are flying cars, the new hologram iPhone, Chile the champion of the world cup, my parents alive I hope, the cure of cancer, etc. If I would like to stay there? My dream job

I’m currently studying dentistry at University of Chile and my dream job is to be a Maxillofacial surgeon, I imagine myself working in a Hospital (public hospital I hope) helping people, fixing their faces, treating oral cancer and extracting their 3rd molars, I kind like blood and treating people, so this job is perfect for me, about the skills, you need to be precise with your hands and fingers, and be friendly with your patients because you have to be a trustworthy person, they are counting on you, but I’m relaxed because over the years and with practice I will have those skills and obviously I need to study a lot to apply to this specialty, I would like be a surgeon but not here in Chile, I would go to Mexico because I watched YouTube videos about Mexican doctors saying that in their country there are a lot of accidents, so I could treat many different cases I will learn more than here in Chile . My best holidays ever

  One of my best holidays was in December, 2017. I went to Bournemouth as a “exchange student” for 4 months, I studied in EF, it’s kind a school for kids around the world who want to learn English. Thankfully I travelled with two of my best friends, so I was not scared to travel alone and be alone in UK, obviously we met a lot people and we made a lot of friends from other countries, like Mexicans, Germans, Argentines, Austrians, etc. EF organized a lot of activities, like parties with no alcohol obviously because we were under 18, trips to other countries, I remember that one of my friends visited Disneyland in France, we were so jealous. That holiday was the best because I met a lot of people, I learned English and some other words from other countries, for example “alsalam ealaykum” means hello in Arab, I visited other countries like Norway, Germany, Netherlands, etc. In UK its get dark like 5-6 pm, I hate that because I’m not used to see dark until it’s 8 pm or something like...

Spain: A country I would like to visit

I would like to visit Spain, specifically Barcelona or Madrid. Why? Because of the weather, it seems so comfortable and beautiful, also I would like to visit this country because they speak spanish , so it’s not that hard to communicate with them.  Spain is located in Western Europe, the capital of this country is Madrid and his type of government is Parliamentary Monarchy. First of all, I would like to eat paella, it’s a typical food from there and its made by rice and seafood, that kind of food is delicious, then a I would like to watch a football match, especially Barcelona against Madrid, the great super classic of Spain in football. Europe it’s a great continent, so I would like to study Maxillofacial surgery and live with my family in Spain, because the education quality it’s better than here in Chile and the healthcare system is one of the best of the whole world.
